Ahora seleccionamos a un/a Commodity Engineer
Objetivo y Responsabilidad:
The Commodity Buyer is responsible for managing the functions of the supply base through a total supply chain view
Required responsibilities include essential functions as well as required knowledge, skills and abilities as defined below
The Commodity Buyer will manage the suppliers within an Extended Enterprise framework in support of the team in accordance with the Purchasing Responsibility Matrix
Domestic and international travel is required
Responsabilidades:
Responsible and accountable for the assigned commodity and purchasing KPIs
Key purchasing expert in assigned commodities,
Owner of the supplybase and maintain good relationship with the supply base
Facilitate cross-functional meetings (internal and external)
Responsible to work with legal department to insure the legal soundness of the contractual relationships between our customer and its supply base, within scope assigned
Develop formal written commodity strategies for all assigned commodities with a global overview
Develop, maintain, and publish appropriate documentation as required by the applicable purchasing procedures
Assist in the establishment of supply base performance targets
Requisitos
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum of 5 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment

equipment requirements/specifications
Manage the supply base through a total supply chain view to optimize material and information
flow from the supplier to the point of use
Able to understand product description and basic design from blueprints
In depth knowledge of fundamental purchasing practices, procedures, and policies
Computer proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel, PowerPoint), basic ability to navigate
Internet and Intranet software packages
Ability to maintain working relationships with internal and external customers
Must be flexible, dependable and creative
Ability to work independently and in a team environment both regionally and globally
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to collect, maintain and analyze data
Must be able to manage time and determine priorities
